From AI pressure to confident, responsible use

A fast-paced, team-based business simulation where managers turn AI from theory into everyday action.

How does it work

Small cross-fuctional teams compete to launch a new product into a fictional market. Across two-three immersive rounds, they use AI tools to sift messy data, redesign workflows and make real decisions under pressure, all while managing quality, ethics and risk. The goal is not just to win the simulation. It is to to return to work doing things differently.

Key outcomes

• Discern when to use AI and when not to
• Write clear prompts and get better outputs
• Judge when to use AI to protect sensitive or regulated data
• Analyse and spot weak AI outputs and improve or discard them
• Design simple AI-enabled workflows that actually save time
• Coach colleagues along, rather than forcing adoption

Business Benefit

• More transparent, responsible AI use that protects customers and reputation
• Clearer links between AI activity and real business value
• Consistent habits and shared language that spread across teams
• Managers who model good practice and create safe space to experiment
• People who come back from training operating visibly differently

Feedback

This is what participants have to say about this game

Phil Walsh

External Facilitator

"The session gave me a clear understanding of my current AI skills and highlighted where I need to conduct more thorough risk analysis before applying AI."

Nigel Trend

External Facilitator

“Thought provoking and challenging. The session made me think about what AI can help me with, and how to identify potential red flags.”

Who it involves

Normally between 12 to 24 participants in each session (but this is flexible), competing in smaller teams against each other.

They are led at all times by a facilitator either from PBS or the client.

How long it lasts

Most games are 2-8 hours. Some classroom courses last up to 4 days. We tend to avoid playing online for more than half a day in one go.

There is normally some brief pre-work for participants to complete and we suggest a short follow-up workshop to embed the learning.

Where it happens

Almost all of our games can be played face-to-face, virtually or a combination of both.

Increasingly, we are seeing demand for digital games to be played face-to-face in the classroom.
